Call for Papers
NURETH-14 is devoted to all aspects of thermal-hydraulics in the nuclear field, with focuses on environmental impacts and how advances in thermal-hydraulics can help ensure long-term environmental sustainability. Researchers and academics from all over the world will come together in Toronto, 2011 to share their knowledge and introduce recent advances in the field. NURETH-14 aims to facilitate friendly exchange of ideas, results and techniques in the field of thermal-hydraulics.
The major research topics subjected to discussion are as follows:
- Two-Phase Flow and Heat Transfer Fundamentals
- Code Developments and Applications
- Severe Accidents and Fires
- Advanced Code Developments
- Operation and Safety of Existing Reactors
- Instrumentation, Measurement Techniques and Testing
- Advanced Reactors Thermalhydraulics (Gen III+, IV, INPRO, Fusion)
- Waste Management Thermalhydraulics
- Thermalhydraulics of Non-electricity Generating Nuclear Equipment
- Special Topics: Thermalhydraulics and Structural Integrity in Connection to Aging and Life Extension; Fusion Reactor Thermalhydraulics; Issues and Future Directions of Thermalhydraulics R&Ds; Best Estimate and Uncertainty methods;Radiological Hazard Related Thermalhydraulics – Aerosol behaviors, consequences, Other (Open to proposals from professional community)
